This is a famous famous poem by Kalidasa. It tries to point out to us the importance of "today". Dale Carnegie refers to this poem in his book "How to stop worrying and start living". Clearly, if one follows exactly what is said in this poem, one would never experience "worry" (easier said than done of course).
Salutation of the Dawn
Listen to the Salutation of the Dawn!
Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life,
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendor of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow only a vision,
But today well lived makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

@Abhiram, I have to tell you that this blog is remarkable especially when you know that the poet wrote that thousands of years ago......
This is definitely a very deep poem and perhaps its real meaning is hidden in an esoteric sense in which the true meaning is for those who have eyes (spiritual) to properly interpret the true import.
